What Are Insights?
Insights transform raw, anonymous feedback into actionable data. Receptive uses AI to group feedback into sentiment categories and topics so teams can identify patterns and take informed action.
Insights Home Overview (Members)
When you visit the Insights tab, you’ll see:
Sentiment Summary (Top Panel)
These cards show how feedback is distributed by emotional tone with 5 levels ranging from “Great 😍” to “Critical “😡
Each card includes a trendline and total feedback count to give you a sense of engagement and mood over time.
How to use it:
Look for shifts in sentiment over time (e.g., if "Concerns" rises by 15% in a week, investigate potential causes).
Top 5 Topics Across Workplace Sentiment
This section charts the most discussed topics, broken down by sentiment. It helps you spot patterns (e.g., if “Job Satisfaction” has both praise and criticism).
How to use it:
Use this to identify whether recurring themes are positive or negative (e.g., "Workload" appears mainly under "Concerns").
Radar Graph
This visual compares sentiment categories (Great, Good, Ok, Concerns, Critical) to each other so you can quickly identify emotional skews.
How to use it:
Quickly see emotional imbalances (e.g., if “Critical” spikes relative to “Great,” deeper analysis is required).
Highlights Section
Each sentiment category (e.g., Great, Good, Ok, Concerns, Critical) is paired with its Top 5 Highlights. These tags show what topics triggered that emotion most often. For example:
Top 5 Great 😊 might include “Job Satisfaction” and “Integrity & Ethics”
Top 5 Concerns 😟 might include “Spend Policy” or “Workload & Job Stress”
This helps managers drill down into what’s working well and what needs improvement.
How to use it:
Share "Great" highlights in team meetings to reinforce what’s working well.
Address "Concerns" by discussing them in retrospectives.
Highlights Map
This interactive block chart shows sentiment volume by topic. The size of each block corresponds to how often that topic appeared, giving you a fast sense of priorities.
How to use it:
Prioritize large, high-impact topics for immediate action.
Personal vs Workspace Views
At the top of the Insights page, you can toggle between:
Personal: Insights based on feedback you’ve received (for managers).
Workspace: Aggregated feedback from your whole team or company.
You can also adjust the start and end dates for time-specific analysis and view its report using the Generate Report button.
Insights Home Overview (Admin/Manager)
Admins and managers see additional metrics:
Metric | What it Means | Action Example |
Engagement Score | % of users giving feedback in the last 30 days. | If engagement drops below 50%, send reminders or encourage managers to discuss feedback value in meetings. |
Psychological-Safety Index | Ratio of positive vs. negative sentiment on sensitive topics. | If the index is falling, run anonymous pulse checks or hold safe-space discussions. |
Category Trending | Fastest-growing feedback topics week-over-week. | If "Workload" spikes, consider a workload review or manager 1:1 discussions. |
