Welcome to Receptive - your intelligent feedback platform designed to help teams listen better, act faster, and build healthier work cultures.

This guide walks you through the essentials so you can start collecting insights, engaging your team, and unlocking the power of AI-driven feedback.

Step 1: Set Up Your Account

  • Make your own Workspace

This is your private space where you’ll organize teams, manage feedback, and configure settings. You’ll do this once at the beginning, and then build on it in the steps that follow.

  • Complete your profile information

Step 2: Invite Your Teammates

In the left-hand sidebar, go to MembersUsers → Click Invite New Users → Add emails and click Send

Step 3: Make Teams and assign roles:

  1. Admin (You): Full access and permissions

  2. Manager: Access to their teams’ insights

  3. Member: Can submit feedback only

Go to MembersAll Teams → click Create New Teams

Give Team Name, add managers and members from teammates

Step 4: Give Feedback

Now that your workspace is ready and your team is set up, it’s time to experience Receptive’s core feature — anonymous, real-time feedback.

Here’s how it works:

  • Give instant feedback from dashboard or go to MembersUsers and click ‘Give Feedback'

  • Feedback can also be given directly via Slack or Teams

  • Responses are synthesized and anonymized before analysis.

  • No names. No identifiers. Just honest, actionable input.

Step 5: Meet Reece, Your AI Coach

Reece is Receptive’s built-in AI assistant. It summarizes feedback, highlights risks, and delivers coaching insights in real time.

  • Ask Reece about team dynamics, psychological safety, or sentiment shifts

  • Use Reece’s insights in 1:1s and retrospectives

Step 6: Explore Your Insights Dashboard

  • For members: Personal insights summarizing how their feedback themes evolve.

  • For admin: Team and organizational insights showing aggregated sentiment, category heat-maps, and exportable CSVs for HR.

Step 7: Connect Your Tools

Receptive integrates with the tools your team already uses:

  • Slack

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Google Calendar

  • Microsoft Outlook

These integrations make feedback collection seamless — no extra logins or disruptions.
